What do you need in store? >
The flexibility of cloud retail software means retailers are no longer limited to one fixed site or store, creating POS mobility in store and in the field. Infinity Cloud requires:
- An online device (PC, Mac, laptop, iPad, iPhone, Android, Tablet or smartphone) with network connectivity (wireless or ethernet) that supports a compatible web browser
- An internet connection (Cable, ADSL or Mobile Broadband)
- A payment terminal that is compatible with the online device

Working with peripheral hardware >
Use of POS peripheral hardware (scanners, printers and payment terminals) is dependent on the compatibility of the device operating Infinity Cloud. Communication to all hardware peripherals is managed through the selected device (such as a PC). The hardware is supported natively via the device's operating system.

Security with Infinity Cloud >
Sales and customer data transacted via Infinity Cloud is treated the same as it is within Infinity RMS. Transferred using your internet connection, data is integrated and stored on the central Head Office server, enabling all Infinity RMS modules to seamlessly access real time data.
Data backup is conducted via the standard Infinity RMS backup process.

All transactions created within the Infinity Cloud environment are integrated with the Infinity RMS database, enabling full utilization of other Infinity modules such as Infinity CPM analytics.
HTML5 - Infinity Cloud’s foundation >
Web standard HTML5 is a new specification. It enables development of advanced online retail business management applications within an open, reliable and highly secure environment.
HTML5 was selected as the web standard for Infinity Cloud on the basis of its specification and, most importantly, for its Web SQL database. This technology enables users to store and retrieve data on the selected device, enabling the web-hosted application to be used continuously even if network connectivity is lost. Older HTML web standards require the installation of third-party database engines on local storage and a full download of applications. Using HTML5, sales staff simply access their secure Infinity Cloud website using a standard web browser without the need for specialist software. If a server connection is lost, staff can still complete transactions; data is transferred when the connection is restored. Back-end inventory is updated, restoring real time inventory data in store.
